So it’s been a while, hasn’t it? I know you all have missed me. I can picture you, sobbing into your morning coffee, wondering why I’ve seemingly disappeared. Did I get sidetracked with all that packing I had to do in order to move into the haunted mansion? Did the moving truck run me down? Did a ghost run off with me?
But I’m still here–really here, because I haven’t yet moved–essentially just ignoring you.
Okay, that’s not true! I’m not ignoring you. But I do have other plans in the works, plans that completely excite me and will likely excite you, too.
But I can’t divulge them yet.
I know, I know!
But I can’t.
You’ll find out soon enough, though.
So keep tuning in. You’ll be oh so happy you did.

Ah… that ever present voice of “I know I should… but I dun wanna’! …but I’ll make it up to them! I promise!” It’s a feeling that’s there whether you’re a full time writer or a once a month blogger. As Nanowrimo is just a hair over a week away, I’m trying bravely to curb all such impulses, for the betterment of my potential first draft.
So, are you doing Nanowrimo this year?
Writing is like graduate school. There’s always SOMETHING I should be doing. Good thing I like it.
I really do have something in the works and it’s going to take a totally different direction. But it’s not quite ready for public consumption just yet.
As far as NaNoWriMo . . . I have to say, I’ve never committed to fifty thousand words in one month, though I applaud all who do. My fiction comes a bit more when it wants to come, and I know from experience that while I can coax my Muse, she doesn’t like parameters. I can tell you that I’m revising my second novel, and that should be out within the year. And the third? That’s already written in my head.
I wish you the best of luck as you hunker down with that first draft. Starting a new project is SUCH a good feeling!
I am on the edge of my seat………………can’t wait to hear more!
